Question 6

We know that Law is a complex subject which requires a good knowledge of various disciplines. In the earlier classes it is taught in social sciences subject. After studying through the basics of subject , The interested students who want to take it as their career choices can pursue it and study accordingly. This is good as interested students are taking up futher education and basics have been taught already. So why introducing as a subject in Curriculum and making it mandatory for other students with having no interest to study a subject of not their choice.

Political Science as a subject includes Constitution. It contains chapters on constitution. Instead of getting specialization in constitution it focuses on other aspects too which strengthen the knowledge of Constitution being provided. We have to understand here that Constitution is a technical subject which needs specialization. It would be really burdensome to make it a separate subject. We can instead debate that some chapter might be added to the already rich syllabus of Political Science.

We know that schools have students in the age group 3-16. So, They are provided with basic understanding of the subjects that are required for reading the Constitution and in line with those learnings they also learn about Constitutional debates, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental duties of a citizen in school books only. When students in school are capable to understand the constitution there are chapters on RTI and FIR that students learn. So, Taking constitution as another subject doesn't matter. Students are already getting a understanding of what is important to them.

Constitution can not treated as a separate subject in school because constitution requires a basic understanding of several other disciplines like society, culture, history and polity of a country. So without basic understanding teaching students what is written in the constitution will make it redundant

*Should constitution be taught as a subject in School Curriculum* I don't think there is a separate need of introducing a new and lengthy Subject. The required syllabus of constitution is already been taught in CIVICS subject (part of social sciences) after 4th or 5th grade in various schools. So there is no need of introducing this as a difference subject.
