We know that schools have students in the age group 3-16. So, They are provided with basic understanding of the subjects that are required for reading the Constitution and in line with those learnings they also learn about Constitutional debates, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental duties of a citizen in school books only. When students in school are capable to understand the constitution there are chapters on RTI and FIR that students learn. So, Taking constitution as another subject doesn't matter. Students are already getting a understanding of what is important to them.

The age that you mentioned also include the classes 11th and 12th , where we can choose the subject of our own choice (which is going to be from 9th class soon as per NEP 2020). But in current scenario one can opt Political science as a subject but not CONSTITUTION . although we know that our Constitution is world's most lengthy written CONSTITUTION then too we are not making it a separate subject , this is really pity .

Ma'am , at present we learn science as combine subject till 9-10th and then have PCM as different subjects in 11th-12th ... Why so ? Bcz , making them a diff subject increases the focus and depth of the area. Same can be implemented here as well .

Political Science as a subject includes Constitution. It contains chapters on constitution. Instead of getting specialization in constitution it focuses on other aspects too which strengthen the knowledge of Constitution being provided.
