Question 5

Concluding remarks

The world needs a fine balance of everything. It may be a required at times but it cant be a status quo at every moment.Hence we must focus on indivisual nurturing as a policy of motivation for our children and ensure every child blooms in her own beautiful way and is not crushed under the pressure of competition.

competitiveness that we today see in the society is due to this being told to us as being the parameter of success since our childhood. This unhealthy practice is causing countries competing against each other to have the mest of lethal weapons to show their might.Competitive success has become so important that we have put the environmental concerns on back burner. This attitude needs a nipping in the bud as this is giving us a very myopic view of life and making people robotic,Competition is desensitizing the world

Mental health of a child can be severly compromised by compartmentalising good and bad students. Each student must be a fair chance to perform.Just rivalries reap jealousies at a very young age causing our little ones succumb to pressure. This has led to s asharp shoot up in suicide rates of young students.Such appalling situation needs to be addressed immediately.

The topic for the day is if competition is necessary part of education.

I will br proceeding against the motion.

In order to develop a better understanding about why i have took this stand we need to dig deeper to understand the meaning of education.Education a liberating process in the life of a person. It gives one the required direction to live her life to the best of her contentment.Education is an experiential thing. It varies according to needs and capabilities. It is a joyous process of learing ,and acquiring new skills, knowledge, art forms, methods etc. This being said the entire concept of competition has unfortunately crept into our education structure. This has led to compartmentalisation rather than competency. An ugly shadow of competition is comparison which is a lethal emotion in its own self.Comparison causes many emotional turbulances in the life of a student making him vulnerable to how others are performing rather than being gratituos and happy about his own existence
