To conclude, we all agree that public schools have to be of top quality and as per international standard but before that we must first make sure all citizens have to be given an equal opportunity to educate themselves and the answer as to how to get this equality, is very unambiguously, PUBLIC EDUCATION
The main problem is that there are very few remedies to a citizen against a private institute so as to ensure they follow all rules and treat everyone equally. Whereas against government schools, there are various options to a citizen to get an equal opportunity
The Supreme Court has also been very vocal on the importance of public education institutions and their advantage. In so many cases where private education tried to take a defense that they could not give equal opportunities to all students because that wont be profitable, the Court did not permit such approach and came down heavily on them. Such approach must be stopped and privatization in education must be curbed.
A large fraction of our society does not have private schools catering to their needs. Private schools dont reach out to the larger fraction of the society as they are poor and not profitable
Private schools also cause inequality between teachers. By paying hefty fees to a teacher, he or she does not become a good teacher. Although all public schools have good teachers as well, because of private schools having better facilities people unnecessarily look down on public schools and public school teachers
