I think we should once again think on 'cost is not the problem.' How many schools are well equipped with the necessary instruments and the required skilled manpower to guide students to learn activities like dance/ singing/ acting ? The government funding for schools for even basic facilities and instruments is inadequate. According to a UDISE survey in 2014, 58% of schools do not have the requisite lab for classes 9 and 10th, where integrated science module is taught to students. In order to include things like dance/ singing/ acting in core curriculum, more funding will be required. And it will put more pressure on the current inadequate funds.

My fellow debaters have raised some important issues and I will try to answer them. If we include these in our core curriculum, the awareness regarding these activities would certainly increase and more and more people will volunteer to provide the necessary instruments. Also I believe teaching these from childhood would encourage students to take up these activities as their career and the would help break the existing notion of "successful" in our society.

Was reading the posts. One of my friend said that cost is the factor in implementing this extra curricular activities. But I truly believe, if the child is doing exceptional in that particular arena such as Singing, dancing or acting, parents should encourage their child in it. Also the teachers can help the child with potential buying the required instruments or allowing him/her to practice beyond Clg hours Hence, cost is not the problem here and thus these activities must be made the part of the curriculum as the pros are much better than the said cons

In my opinion it's essential for a person to analysis and indentify his/her skills and this would be a better way to do that . Many students left their passion just coz they don't get support . If we keep on following the same system we will decrease the count of talent.we have an example of Great sachin Tendulkar he failed in English in his tenth standard and now there is chapter in English on him.
