It is difficult to manage our mental health during the lockdown, with household chores as well as work, how would you suggest to stay positive in the times of COVID? What are the ways in which I can help my students and advice them as well to stay positive in these tough times?

ear Shubhangi, Mental health is going to be the biggest challenge and once this is over the issues like post-traumatic stress disorders will also crop up. Currently, staying positive is the biggest panacea. I am suggesting two tips. One is the Meditation week challenge, and another is 5 -Day Acts of Kindness Challenge. These meditations have nothing to do with religion/sect and can be done in 10-15 mins daily. According to many research, organizations/societies that practice a mindfulness meditation might dramatically reduce stress while simultaneously improving productivity/creativity. Mindfulness is simply paying attention to the present moment in an accepting, non-judgmental way, it is a simple practice freely available to all. One-week Meditation Challenges the links are given below: Day -1 5-Minute Meditation You Can Do Anywhere https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inpok4MKVLM Day -2 Guided Meditation for Inner Peace and Calm / Mindful Movement https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iGWdUTifIQ Day-3 A Guided Meditation on the Body, Space, and Awareness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GSeWdjyr1c Day -4 Yoga Nidra 20 Minute Guided Meditation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H0FKzeuVVs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzKRDwoay5I&t=157s (Yog Nidra in Hindi) Day-5 10-Minute Meditation For Anxiety https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-6f5wQXSu8 Day -6 15 Minute Super Deep Meditation Music: Relax Mind Body, Inner Peace, Relaxing Music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIIEI33EUqI Day -7 30 Minute Deep Sleep Music, Sleep Meditation, Calm Music, Relaxing Music, Fall Asleep, Relax https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YojwmuZSbJk

5-days Kindness Challenge: Sometimes it feels like we could all be a little kinder. Parents are one of the biggest influences on children and can play a significant role in how they treat others. Our children watch what we do, and follow in our footsteps. They depend on us to show them how to be caring and help others. Doing acts of kindness will not only show our kids how to be kind to others but also how to help others. By doing these small and simple acts of kindness with your kids, you will not only teach them about compassion but also how easy it is to be kind to others. Doing random acts of kindness is so easy and fun! Try the 5 -Day Acts of Kindness Challenge. There are a few ideas listed below. Suggested list: you can think beyond this 1. Compliment someone 2. Leave a treat for the delivery boy/building guard 3. Smile at someone 4. Singing a song/reciting poetry for family/colleagues/Corona warriors 5. Donate unused toys to those in need/ relief camp 6. Send a thank-you email to your colleague 7. Plant a flower or tree and watch it grow 8. Say thank you and please more 9. Pick up trash from your building/road 10. Buy groceries for a family in need 11. Donate to charity 12. Help someone elderly carry out their groceries 13. Prepare a meal for your family (many of you are doing) 14. Donate outgrown clothes 15. Be kind to others Let’s spread happiness, positivity and smile. Regards
