How can sensitive issues like Citizenship Act be addressed in the classroom, while being neutral and not taking sides? Can you suggest non biased sites/videos/resources that can be used for this?

Developing critical thinking and a scientific temper are so important in todays age of whatsapp fwds :) Asking children to bring newsclips of major papers which show different sides and viewpoints, using CREDIBLE (not anonymous) videos explaining both sides of any current issue and allowing students the opportunity to make up their own minds based on what they have seen - all view pts - is imp... this along with EMPATHY where we put ourselves in the place of others and see what the issue looks like are all ways to help students become aware and informed citizens. It is imp that we focus on the process rather than be the judge and decider

Thank you very much for your thoughtful response. It does give points to ponder upon and plan on for taking up these issues with children. Thank you.
