A student who has scored 60% and 90% marks means that there is a difference in their academic percentage however, it doesn't comment on the overall capability of a student because learning level is not just defined by the academic result but is also factored by many other cognitive skills. For eg. A child may not be very good in math but may be extremely good at arts which are not considered to be academically equal to math in upper primary classes in our education system, thus evaluating a child through only academic result may not be the most viable thing given the current scenario.
