What laws does India have to protect children from abuse and how can a child be made aware of it? Also can aid services in relation to child protection be independently accessed by children in case of need or it has to be through a trusted adult?

There are different laws depending on the abuse that the children are facing. For example in case of Sexual Abuse we have the POCSO Act, in case of Violence at home we have the Domestic Violence Act, Indian Penal Code. Children can themselves approach the agencies or the police stations but it is always advised to have an adult along because a lot of things children will not understand. Like for example if the police has to take a complaint, then he has to file an FIR. a Child may just orally speak about his problem and then come home but that won't be the case with an adult around.
