Hi, Sadly in India, we do not talk about child rights that openly because our society believes that whatever elders do for the children is for their welfare. That elder may be parents, relatives or teachers or some known person. When you teach a child abouot child rights you are not teaching them to revolt but to stand up for something that is rightfully theirs. For Example:- If they are primary class students, you can teach them about Child Sex Abuse, physical abuse and most importantly emotional abuse and give them pointers on how they can identify the same and talk about it. For secondary class students, you can talk to them about the same but also teach them on how to identify a person who has been a victim of the abuse. Teach them about the authorities they can talk to incase if someone they know is suffering from abuse. Teaching children about their rights depends on their age and maturity but even pre-primary children can be taught to say NO to certain things.
