Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple in New Delhi is a unique cultural shrine. It is built in the pious memory of Jyotirdhar Lord Swaminarayan. The campus is spread over 100 acres of land. Being the largest Hindu temple complex in the world, it was included in the Guinness Book of World Records on 24 December 2007. And do you know that Akshardham temple is built with a mixture of pink, white marble, and sandstone? Steel, iron, and concrete were not used to build this temple. It took about five years to build the temple. This temple was built under the leadership of Swami Maharaj, the head of Sri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha. This temple, spread over 100 acres of land, has been built with the help of more than 11 thousand artisans.
