Customized learning paths based on interests
Students are aware of the fact that they are coming to a classroom and that they have a teacher figure to address them. Perceptions are made on the basis of their sensory inputs and sometimes they are unable to understand the same. it is important to address them by involving engaging activities. have an interactive class session and make sure you are able to establish a rapport with them. children should not feel disconnected.
Perception is very subjective and especially in a case like where teachers & students are not at the same place in the classroom ! where the teacher has to be authoritative in nature , setting equation in classroom is rather very difficult and so is perception ! why is it like some teachers are student's favorite and some are not whereas all the teachers are doing the same thing, probably also have the same teaching style but it is always the case where we get connected to one teacher because of their nature or style of teaching! Self-perception is something that is built over the years and should project things in a positive light! Students' perception is something that is variable and keeps changing and hence should be taken into account whenever the teacher feels a honest feedback and wants to change his or her teaching style! Feedback for the teacher is always good for self-improvement but does that change students' perceptions about them is not necessary! Also to add on one's teaching style will not be everyone's favorite, hence you cannot please everyone but can you as a teacher accommodate everyone's needs! That's what matters the most, keep updating & making your classroom so mobile that each student feels impacted & cared for!
