Here are few traits what the students want to look in their teacher- 1. Teacher should be resourceful. 2. Teacher should have good ideas for each type of issues. 3. Teacher should not be rigid in his nature. 4. He should be open to learning as well. He should also learn from his students. 5. He should appreciate students for their small small achievements 6. He should have a good subject knowledge and high moral so that he can become an ideal for students. 7. He should be flexible in classroom teaching and have a soft behavior and attitude for students. 8. He should not be biased with students. 9. He should be open to change and come with a new idea everyday in classroom to keep students motivated too.

Every student has his favourite teacher but very rare teachers become favourite for many students. Certainly they possess some qualities and skills which make them favourite. First of all a teacher should not pretend or copy other teachers to be liked by their students. Try to be natural. Students like a teacher who teaches well.A teacher should have command over his subject. He should be well prepared with what he is going to teach. Teacher should be understanding. He should understand his students’ problems. He should be friendly by maintaining a distance between teacher and students’ relationship. A good teacher does not only teach academics but he also imparts moral,social and practical knowledge. A teacher should always be impartial. A good teacher pays equal attention to the topper and weaker ones. He should be capable of moulding challenging behaviours of his students. He should be confident and considering. There should be positivity in his class room. Though a teacher should work hard to provide best results but his purpose should not only be result oriented.His main focus should be on the overall improvement. If he is able to kindle the fire of motivation among his students, his students always remember him and like him. If the students are inspired in the right manner, they shine on the path of success and they always recall their teacher. In this way a teacher who is a motivator..a torch bearer..is liked by his students…not at that time but in future also.
