जब कबीर ने शिक्षक को ईश्वर के बराबर में ला कर खड़ा किया होगा तब निश्चित ही उन्होंने समाज में शिक्षक का दर्जा सबसे ऊँचा माना होगा। ... हमारे समाज में आज भी शिक्षक / गुरु का पद गौरवपूर्ण माना जाता है। इसलिए जो विद्यालय में पढ़ाता है उसे ही नहीं बल्कि जो जीवन को दिशा देता है उसे भी गुरु कहा जाता है।
