Web resources are accessed using HTTP or HTTPS, which are application-level Internet protocols that use the Internet's transport protocols. Viewing a web page on the World Wide Web normally begins either by typing the URL of the page into a web browser or by following a hyperlink to that page or resource.
The World Wide Web, however, is a system we use to tap into that internet. Think of it as the method used to access all those cat gifs. The World Wide Web uses Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) - a language used to transmit data - to access information that lives on different networks.
HTTP is the standard 'language' used to communicate between web browsers and website servers. WWW stands for World Wide Web, and it's used mostly as a prefix. Simply put, HTTP is the protocol that enables communication online, transferring data from one machine to another.
