Sir, I think exam is important in this competitive world to place your worth. I don't agree that exams should be removed because how else do you judge one's learning but what I don't prefer is the kind of exams we have going on which is fixated on marks on recall knowledge. With changing education system, I am sure things will be changing as well, assesment will also take a turn like involvement of formative assesment and summative assesment , aptitude judgement among others. One needs to evolve to a level to understand what is the requirement of education system , as far as we can say it's learning but is is also representation of what's learned ! I hope my opinion gives you some depth in your thinking.

I don't think so that there is a need to fully eliminate the examinations from the education system but I do agree that we need to change a lot of things: 1) The way we create assessments or question papers 2) The criteria based on which we give marks to the students 3) The way we make our students prepare for the exams 4) Last but not the least the way we judge our students and their ability on the basis of their marks
