Hans Lipperhey, a German spectacle maker, is generally credited as the inventor of the telescope, as his patent application is dated the earliest, on the 25th of September 1608.
The first real binocular telescope was created by J.P. Lemiere in 1825. Binocular is an optical instrument for providing a magnified view of distant objects consisting of two similar telescopes, one for each eye, mounted on a single frame.
