Students aim to clear prestigious competitions like NEET, JEE, CLAT, UPSC and many more and for that they enroll themselves at coaching centres. Such draconian atmosphere is often created around these aspirants that it ends up burdening their daily lives and leads to mental health issues. The city of Kota is the shrine of aspirants. Away from their friends and families, these secluded aspirants in Kota face overwhelming pressure to clear these competitions and when they cannot then it takes a toll on their mental health. Thus Kota in particular apart from being the shrine of students is also the epicenter of teenage suicides.

I agree. The coaching industry in unscrupulosly feeding upon the insecurites that the education system has fed into the minds of young ones. This has causes not just emotional trauma but also is causing a deeper divide in the society where the students from a economically sound background can afford to spend lakhs of rupess but unfortunately many students from not a sound background miss out on the cultivating the talent that they possess

Yes Charvi, and it is the bookish knowledge that is prevailing and not its application.

As we know that excess of everything is bad so today when I am putting forward my point in favour of competition then I not by any chance mean "extreme competition"

The wrong kind of competition can easily cause stress and depression amongst students. Students will spend a lot of time trying to stay at the top, forgetting to do essential things, like take care of themselves health-wise. Thus, not achieving a set goal might send them into a mental state that could lower their grades.

Right now the focus should be shifted from these unhealthy and unequal competitions and the skill development of a student needs to be prioritised. Competitions pits students of different calibur together and accesses them on a academic basis.

We humans are born competitors, competition doesn’t kill anyone what kills is the incompetent society. A swimmer should compete in a swimming pool and not in JEE, like wise. The society, parents and also teachers fail to identify individual talents and rub common ruthless standards on everyone.
