Why are they undecided? Are they afraid? Are they weak in subjects? It the family pressurizing them to take up an alternate career? 1) Find out why the student is undecided 2) What are the student's strengths? 3) Do a SWOT analysis? 4) What does the student NOT like at all? 5) Is it a confidence issue - then encourage, motivate and give support. If it is an actual confusion - of option A or B - then weight the options and enable student to make a choice. Most important is that student should trust you and respect you enough to listen to you :)
