Another noteworthy point here is that even though the new educational policy includes a lot of activities, the practice of taking exams is age-old, and was created in different circumstances. considering the plethora of career options available today, exams at school level primarily test the students on five subjects namely English, Hindi, Math, Science, and Social Sceinces. this further leads to confusion while opting for something that might be completely new, example law, designing etc.
the concept of exams has established a concrete foundation of testing students only on these subjects, and many important skills, (that might be a career option) get sidelined!

To answer the question that relates with the choice of career, the primary method should always be standardised testing. Until we have a system that gives us an insight into the 'general', we can't draw conclusions about the 'specifics'

Adaptability is the exact reason why standardised testing is beneficial. A child cannot fathom the diversity of subjects that are available, and having subjects that are the base of what they would be able to do in the future is the best way to provide it

adaptability is the best at a young age, because of which the brain develops the most. yet limiting it to concrete subjects rather than exploration can never be the solution.

examinations and evaluation maybe an old concept but its still prevalent and thats for a reason, we can improve and adapt but abolishment of exams can never be a solution .

I think this point focuses more on the education system and the subjects that are offered to primary grade students and not on the concept of exams per se. But still a possible counter to this would be the fact that with the educational policy in place, vocational subjects that require vocational training only have also been introduced in the curriculum for which the conventional exams would not take place.
