Emotional literacy is the ability to notice and interpret our emotions accurately. In a class it becomes pertinent to develop the social and emotional learning. As teachers following things can be done:
1. Discuss with your students what all emotions they go through and create feelings word wall. So that whenever any child is going through anything, he or she can point to that particular emotion on the wall.
2. During morning meetings, you can ask students to generate new feeling words and review the old one.
3. Also, we need to model our emotions in front of children so that they feel normal when they undergo the same emotion. We need to normalise feeling upset, angry, sad as one can't be happy all the time.
