How to motivate child to do homework and what is effective homework assignments?

The child should be made aware of completing the home work on regular basis which will be their revision too

Child can be given stickers, assigned with some work.. as homework in charge or appreciate the child that home work is submitted on regular basis. 

Effective home work assignments:

Assignments based on child capacity and their grasping power. 

It should have more of artwork or clay... even easy model making with recycled paper. 

Instead of giving question and answer ask the child to describe about the main character and assume if the child was the main character and share the thought.
