Customized learning paths based on interests
Classes should be interesting. Doing activities together and giving little surprises to them will motivate them to attend classes. They should be allowed to suggest how their classes can be made more interesting. Participation is very important to stop them getting distracted.
First of all, making a routine for every day with parent involvement is a must.
Every day the child needs to follow the same routine(especially during online learning) except when s/he is not well.
Set up a learning space for the child at home and eliminate all kinds of distractions such as playing games on mobile phone/TV/chatting etc.
let the child keep all essentials ready at her/his place (pencils/paper /crayons etc.)
Hang/display the daily online learning schedule at the eye-level of the child.
Ask the parents to personalise their children's learning space with their own work.
Do not interrupt in between by providing snacks/fruits, rather keep the fruit bowl/milk/biscuits ready and give them during the BREAK TIME. otherwise, it would become difficult for the children to adjust to the school routine once the schools reopen.
Give them sufficient time for free play both indoor and outdoor to take out their pent up emotions and energy.
