As we know every child has multiple faceted personality. The theory of multiple intelligence also suggests that children may have different styles of learning. In the same way if teachers use different techniques of assessment, it will help them in comrehensive assessment of the child. It is completely justified and should be practised.

 Using different strategies for assessment is a skill and the teacher gets authentic data of her/his children(know about the WHOLE CHILD). Children can demonstrate their different skills and knowledge across a range of contexts. Using different techniques provides data about each child in a much detailed manner and teachers also feel confident. It helps teachers to assess a broader range of skills and motivate children. Most importantly ,it helps teachers to reach to intended learning outcomes. Many times, using too many techniques become very tiring for the teachers, so s/he can always use quick jotting down the points, sticky or flag system assessment method.
