Time Table preparation and Time Allotment should be done in advance. The environement also matters, distracting factors should be reduced.Focus should be given to dietary habitsof students during these days.

Making of diagrams, capturing contents as mental images, mock tests, teaching others are useful techniques. But please remember, each student is different, so is their grasping capacities and comfortable techniques.
