Use flashcards,use the dictionary,play words games.developes reading habit . Practice using new words in conversation.

It is always better to make children play games and do some activities or conversations to bring in new vocabulary. The games can be based on the theme that you want to teach them. Another example is to have a competition among students wherein two students bring an English word daily and explain it to the rest of the classroom. The one who can explain better can win. Other methods are crossword puzzles, reading passages from books or magazines, describing pictures or talking about their favourite topics. You can also make them do hobbies like drawing and painting while having conversations and bringing in new vocabulary.
