Yes. It is always better to make children play games and do some activities or conversations to bring in new vocabulary. The games can be based on the theme that you want to teach them. Another example is to have a competition among students wherein two students bring an English word daily and explain it to the rest of the classroom. The one who can explain better can win. Other methods are crossword puzzles, reading passages from books or magazines etc.
Making the students learn a word starting with the first letter of their name and spell it with hindi meaning too during Attendance, Mam I m practicing this idea in my class to make the students learn new words each day with their meaning
