Be Careful When Using Their, They’re and There 1. Their is a possessive determiner. When using their, you indicate that something belongs to them. For ex- Their house is big. 2. They’re is a contraction of they are. For Ex- They're going for a party. 3. There is an adverb indicating a location of something, whether specific or abstract. For Ex- There is a cat in the room.
