Some students are very good in music but their parents don't like this, on the other hand some who are not good their parents encouraged them to learn music.. How can we make them understand?

this is a problem which time can only solve .. I don't know what is the matter with parents ..every one of them treats the child as a prop and not as a person..it should not be the parents who should decide that their child wants to pursue music or not it should be the child who should get a chance to explore and decide himself/herself
