It depends if a child is confident of his abilities and is aware of all the options he can explore, there is no need of career counselor. But in most cases child is unaware about his capabilities or the plethora of options available , then he needs to be guided . And a counselor can be a teacher or a parent or anybody who can research for him/her to provide best suitable solutions.
