The west flowing rivers are The Indus, the Narmada, the Tapi, the Sabarmati, the Mahi, the Ghagghar, the Luni, the Saravati, the Pumba, the Periyar, the Bharatpuja and the large number of swift flowing western coast rivers descending from the Sahyadris.
