There are several methods of rainwater harvesting (storage and saving). People often collect rainwater in the roof or drain to collect and conserve rainwater that will later move into containers through the downspot. Barrels of rain are simply plastic containers. They usually have a bottom spout. Connecting a hose to a valve is an easy way to use water in other parts of your home. You can get them from local shops or make them yourself. Make sure that you get a rain barrel that has a cover so that animals, mosquitoes and even children can be kept outside. Large polythene or fiberglass tanks can be used to collect rain water.
