Outdoor lessons may be an inexpensive and convenient way to improve Children's engagement but when the surrounding is not appropriate how can we give environmental lessons within school premises.?

As an educator, we tend to plan outdoor lessons to break the monotony of the learning which is restricted to the 4 walls of the classroom. These plans may get derailed due to any unforeseen event. In such a scenario, I'd suggest to adapt and transform the challenge into an opportunity. For instance, if the outdoor lesson is obstructed due to rain, ask them if rain has ever stopped execution of their plans before? What do they generally do if it happens? And subsequently relate it with your lesson or teach them a new lesson instead. For Science, it can be linked with physics, chemistry or biology. For Social Sciences, it can be linked with Geography or Disaster Management. For languages, it can be linked with culture and poetry. For Maths, you can teach statistics or probability. I guess, such a situation would help them associate and retain things better. Thanks.
