I teach Pre Primary students. These children are so young I feel in such difficult times, there should be no obligation to complete their syllabus. Their learning can be free-flowing. I know in most schools, they are having online classes so here are a few tips according to my experience- 1. Do not keep the classes for a long duration. Keep them small. Around 20 minutes works nicely. 2. Ask them questions. keep them engaged. 3. Do not keep it conversational or lecture-based but more as video based . Share your Screen and play videos on that. 4. Show them stories of the concepts you want to teach instead of enacting that single-handedly. 5. Online classes become problematic if a lot of people are talking at once. Try communicating with your students using gestures. Set a few gestures which can be used during the class. For example- thumbs up to indicate good. Lastly, Asking their parents to be secondary facilitators during the class is important. They can be there in order to see that the student does not waver off the class.

Yes it is true these students have a very short span of attention what we can do to keep the classes for short interval. To engage them allow them to participate. Through stories, singing, dance interest can be develop.
