I feel students find it difficult to learn dates. Can you suggest ways to make it easy for them? I was hoping in the lockdown they could learn it and brush up their history, especially for classes 6th, 7th and 8th.

History learning becomes quite boring if there is direct emphasis on dates. The best way to help students relate to and remember dates is by creating an association with that date. For e.g. if you can draw a parallel with a particular date from a different part of the world. That ways there will be interest generated and students will find it easier to remember. Another way to help students remember dates is by association with a monument or historical site.
