Customized learning paths based on interests
Dear Sir, Completely agree with you. Two things are extremely critical: - Parent Support - Child's Confidence to learn Few efforts that can be made: a. As teachers, we are very close to the children, hence we are the first people who can give assurance to the child that they can learn. This assurance will go a long way to form the child's trust on the teacher and eventually pay off. b. Siblings help: Children often have elder siblings at home. During home visit of the child, the capacity of the sibling can be understood so that he/she can help the child with the learning materials at home. c. Parent's help can be taken only for fixing the schedule at home to work with the Teacher Learning Materials. However, periodically, even a small change in the child's learning or behaviour can be communicated to the parents. This may enhance more interest of the parent. Hope these help to brainstorm.
