Students generally sends things not related to subjects or topic and occasionally left from group without informing their parents how can this be prevented?

I applied it in remedial classes where students bunk from the class. Occassionally when I feel few students are not coming, I took all remaining students to their favourite place computer lab and teach them through online quiz, which they like. They became happy and absentees became sad. Same we can try, whenever someone left we can share such easy test or educational interesting video. What do you say?
