Amoebas are unicellular organisms that are often microscopic, but some can grow up to 20 centimetres in diameter. Amoebas can change their shape due to their pseudo pods. Pseudo pods are bulges that extend out from the outer border of amoeba, and these bulges can move and change their shape.

By changing shaoe, amoeba can form pseudopodia which helps in ingestion of food and locomotion.
