Stories have multiple advantages. I will share what i found from my doctoral research in this area: -Inferring and deriving meaning, imagining, problem solving, sequencing, innovate, exploring, experimenting • Understanding emotions of self and others, empathizing; nurturing sense of humor in children • Cooperating, collaborating, taking initiative, appreciating multiple views • Building positive self-esteem and confidence if we allow children to make and share their stories This way storytelling engages a child’s whole self, making it all the more important.
