About the Module

This module talks about the strategies that can be used by teachers in their classrooms. It caters to the needs of students who have learning difficulties in learning Mathematics. The module emphasize the usage of mathematical manipulatives to meet the need of the students when teaching a particular topic, at the Upper Primary level. This module will focus on steps and methods which provide the teacher a mechanism to apply and assist their teaching in the classroom and means of evaluating the understanding of the students. To do so, the module suggests the strategy SIMPLE_SHAPE which focuses on the framework of utilizing and structuring the class in order to meet the needs of the students who have a certain amount of learning difficulty when concerned with Mathematics.
