Blue Whale: The Largest Mammal

5 Bountiful Blue Whale Facts

“Whale” is a common name for a variety of large marine mammals. The Latin word cetus gives the whale species its scientific title, Cetacea. Whales come in two categories of Cetacea. The largest, Mysticeti, are characterized by sieve-like, baleen structures in their upper jaw that they use to filter food from the seawater. The other category, Odontoceti, has teeth, such as sperm whales and orcas. Not surprisingly, blue whales fall within the large baleen parvorder of Mysticeti. Here are 10 of our favorite facts about this largest but little-seen whale species..

Technology & Innovation

Technology In Education

Technology has the power to transform teaching by ushering in a new model of connected teaching.
Technology is a powerful tool that can support and transform education. in many ways, from making it easier for teachers to create instructional materials to enabling new ways for people to learn and work together.

Education technology is the combined use of computer hardware, software, educational theory, and practice to facilitate learning. Education technology creates, uses, and manages technological processes and education. Resources to help improve user performance are:

Different education technology are:-

Custom learning experiences:
Thanks to modern technology in education, we can really initiate custom teaching and learning methodologies and experiences in our present-day infrastructure. With modern gadgets and interfaces, one can initiate learning based on their need, preferences, and availability. Mobile app development for education unleashed a new way of need-based learning.

Cloud computing: Cloud computing unlocked the door of high technology education. The anytime-anywhere accessibility of information stored in remote cloud servers of apps made it possible to access course and education materials from any device and from anywhere using the internet.
Cloud-based education apps solve the problem of storing data as well.

Speech-to-Text options: A vast number of devices and apps and apps platforms are coming with virtual assistant apps and features. Speech to text options make note-taking and writing even more comfortable and fast-paced.

Virtual and augmented learning experiences: It came as a big boost to online education.
If we want to learn about space objects just by running a 3D space video, we can float in space while the background continuously depicting us Milky Way in detail.

3D printing: It is also known as prototyping. It allows students to learn with a more tangible and physical experience. With 3D printing, students can give shape to their imagination.

Learning analytics: Thanks to the increasing pace of high technology adoption of the education system, learning data is becoming important to drive decisions in making procedures easier. The learning system will dictate the way education is remitted by teachers and experienced by learners.
Learning analytics will boost learner’s engagement in education more than anything else.

These high technology approaches have changed the entire traditional approach to education. In simple words, technology has provided teachers and learners with a new and enhanced way of interacting during the learning process.

Challenges of delivering technological skills

Technology offers the opportunity of worldwide learning and education, but it needs resources and commitment to achieve that. Internet access is still patchy across the world. Global access to information and communication technology is not equal. people do not always have the knowledge or skill they need to take advantage of technology.
Even if the technology is available and people have the necessary e-literacy skills, there is no guarantee that technology alone can create a quality learning environment.

Classroom Learning

Class Room Learning with Real Life Situation

Learning is a regular and continuous process. One workshop for learning in school, where mostly same age students learn a thing for life. Hindi, English, Maths, Science, Environmental Science, General Science, General Knowledge and so many scholastic subjects which are related to life and dance, art, games so many co-scholastic areas covered. What is the use of It? Students ask the question because now the trend is changed, Teachers and student’s relation is as facilitator and learner respectively. Question-answer sessions are now very interesting in the Class.

If someone asked, “what is the use to learn Sanskrit”. Definitely, the answer is a little bit difficult because How we can explain the learning of language. Teachers can relate the session with their research on languages, How our Ved, Purans are written in Sanskrit and there are so many things which are now using by the science for research.

Due to a lack of knowledge of languages we face problem to understand the facts of our Vedic culture. In this Corona Period where everyone is following the rules which we forgot.

No handshake, Only Namaskaar; Social Distancing, Sanitization when we come in the touch of out things.  which was our culture. Hawan-Yagya which scientifically proved it purifies the environment in more than 1 km dia.

Surya Argya process has proved, it is good for curing skin diseases and very best for eyesight. Dhyan – Yog everything which literature in present in Sanskrit and we use to the translation of it by our non-sense thinking.

One example is from Ramcharit Manas, “Dhol Ganwar, sudra Pasu Naari, Sakal tadna ke Adhikari.”
What is the real meaning and we translate, is very different. There are different meaning of Tadna- monitoring- observing. Dhol (drum) if it assemble proper so it given fantastic beats but if it loose so, either Dhol will be torn or couldn’t played in good beats.

Class room the basic place where learning took place. Students learns read, write, speak. Calculation- addition, multiplication, division, problem solving. How the seeds germinate and grow up in the form of plant and trees. It’s very interesting when students brow some seeds and observe the progress of plant grows. Every knowledge kids learn from class room first. Class room learning some time looks just time pass. But it is not so.

In the class room if we use real life activities this type of class learning became very fruitful. If I say to my students to find the capacity of an unknown object, where I wants to know how much liquid can be occupied by it. Interesting, I have to teach my students to visualize the object type of visual shapes then they would find the Volume and convert it into the capacity. Students will check the result by filling that new object through known object which capacity already known. They realize what teacher teaches has some significance and more than logic. Otherwise they just solve the word problems and unaware about the use of it.

In Engineering, Medical, Agriculture everywhere we use so many things, which we already learn in the class room. so, we teachers must relate all other things with real life and experience through research.

Classroom Learning

Pictorial Story-writing

Teachers often face challenges in teaching in their day-to-day practice. These teaching experiences make teachers very efficient in their classroom teaching and also learning.
I had an experience of teaching as a teacher for 12 years. But I had faced lots of challenges, problems yearly in my classroom. At the same time, I learned from these challenges and issues and exploring the same with my school children.

At present, I am a class teacher for IV standard students and these were the same students for whom I had taught when they were I std too. Hence I am gifted to know about the progression of their learning abilities and various other skills over the years. I practiced and followed the pictorial method of teaching and learning in my classroom for language teaching. So, I thought of different ways of teaching the children so that they understand and learn.

One such way was to relate any commonly used words like sun, moon, tree, etc. to their pictures. Every week, I give the student a task of reading at least ten words both in English and Tamil and the student has to show the corresponding pictures of the used words in the picture given. By the end of I std, the student would read and understand, also draws almost 1000 words.

In the next year, the student could confidently read sentences relating various pictorial representations to the context given. This way all the students could read and understand. I can proudly say in my class, out of 30 children 27 children can read and understand very well and the other 3 children also can read but at a slower pace.

And now I improvised this picture method to the pictorial story method. It became a successful one and I learned so much from my student also. Each and every student in my class are capable of writing stories of their own with pictures and this process continues and I keep on learning.

"Classroom is the foundation. The real construction is done in a quiet room where we school ourselves. Learning has no end...It never stops."
